UPDATE, January 2014: Serendipity Chocolate Shop has closed.

There’s a new place in SFBA to enjoy local artisan chocolates: Serendipity Chocolate Shop in San Carlos. They carry Jade Chocolates (you can get the Bogart truffle there which we loved at the last SF International Chocolate Salon), Michael Mischer4-cup chocolatier and Shawn Williams (of Au Coeur des Chocolats, whose chocolate bars and s’mores kits we loved at previous chocolate salons).

Other locally-sourced chocolate snacks include Kika’s Treats and Toffee Talk. They also offer coffee drinks and have plans to sell wine.

Serendipity Chocolate Shop, 1152 Arroyo Avenue, San Carlos, CA 94070. Hours are 8-8 Wed-Sat and 8-3 Sun.
