Sharing a parking lot with Oxbow Public Market, CIA at Copia was created in 2015 when the Culinary Institute of America (the other CIA) took over the original Copia (started by Robert Mondavi), a center dedicated to American wine, food and the arts. It still has largely the same focus with food classes, restaurants, festivals, popups, a farmers market, conferences, museum, store, and more. The Marketplace at Copia is a kitchen store with a twist: In addition to kitchen tools, wine decanters, and gourmet food items, it sells culinary antiques. It also sells some Napa Valley chocolate. When we visited, they were carrying K+M Extravirgin Chocolate and Kollar Chocolates.
