Creepy — but anatomically correct — chocolate hearts
Big Top Sweet Shop advertises on their Instagram: “Fine Chocolates. Classic Confections. Sexy People. Using only the best in sustainable chocolate. Luxury without pretense.”
Started by pastry chef Larisa Chapman, Big Top makes elaborate bonbons, bars, caramels, marshmallows, snacks, and baked goods using only the finest ingredients — like couvertures from Felchlin Chocolate and Luker Chocolate. While they make bonbons in an array of shapes there is a frequently recurring motif of creepy — eyeballs, skulls, spiders, and anatomically correct hearts — all carefully made and elaborately decorated.
Big Top doesn’t have a brick and mortar shop — or an online shop. They sell their chocolates and other treats at special events only. Check their social media accounts for where they will appear next. You can also contact them for local delivery if you can’t make it to an event.
