
A dream come true
Stay Sweet SF burst on the SFBA chocolate scene in 2025 like Venus springing up fully formed out of the sea but in chocolate. Mark Lieuw started the business in December 2024 and by April 2025 had won 2 Gold, 2 Silver, and 4 Bronze level awards at the SF International Chocolate Salon. Of course like every overnight sensation, this success was the result of years of experience. In Mark’s case he worked in fine dining for 12 year and became a pastry chef.
In 2024 he decided it was time to make his own dream come true and with his mom’s encouragement, he started his one-man business in SF where he grew up. He makes beautiful hand decorated bonbons and bars — including an interesting vegan line using toasted oats and a bar called Karl the Fog, his SF inspired take on London Fog chocolates.
