Marini’s Candies is over 100 years old. It started in 1915 as a salt-water taffy shop, and while it still makes taffy, it has expanded over the years and now makes some chocolate too, including the much-hyped chocolate covered bacon. It is more of an old-fashion candy store than chocolate shop with treats like caramel covered apples, lollipops, peanut brittle, and lots of fudge. They do make their chocolate treats themselves, such as chocolate covered caramels & orange peels, rocky road, turtles, toffee, and bonbons.

There are several locations around Santa Cruz, the Westside store being the newest location.
