This past week, chocolate was a popular topic in the funny papers.<\/p>\n

First, Dilbert ran a couple of daily strips about the power of dark chocolate:<\/p>\n

Then the Sunday funnies included 2 chocolate-themed comics:<\/p>\n

As the saying goes, there is truth in humor. As Pointy-Haired Boss says in Dilbert, there are studies that point to chocolate making you smarter<\/a>. And you can get a chocolate spa treatment<\/a> in San Francisco (although you\u2019ll have to wait for Valentine\u2019s Day unless you want to D-I-Y like Lio).<\/p>\n

And not all of those chocolate selections in Rhymes with Orange are as off-the-wall as you might think: Local chocolatiers Vice Chocolates<\/a> and Socola Chocolatiers<\/a> both offer beer-infused bonbons. Many local artisan chocolatiers make spicy hot chocolates, including Socola\u2019s Flying Rooster truffle flavored with Sriracha sauce. And Michael Mischer<\/a> offers a barbecue flavored filled chocolate during the summer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
