Oh, and making delicious chocolate.<\/p>\n<p>Newtree has 2 chocolate caf\u00e9s in downtown SF.\u00a0 The one on Ecker Place is a demonstration of their sustainable business philosophy incorporating green, sustainable building materials like recycled glass, concrete and bamboo, and compostable to-go containers and utensils. It\u2019s also very comfortable and pretty quiet for a downtown location: It\u2019s in an alley off Market St. The other location is at 311 California St (also closed).<\/p>\n<p>The caf\u00e9\u2019s menu has both sweet and savory items that incorporate chocolate. Maybe the most interesting is the raw brussels sprouts salad with a dressing that includes chocolate.<\/p>\n<p>The caf\u00e9 also carries their whole line of chocolates with free samples.<\/p>\n<h4>CBTB Tip:<\/h4>\n<p>If you\u2019re looking for a cup of hot chocolate, get there early.
